Looking at the picture to the left you can easily answer this question. This picture shows the trap after it had been up for only 3 days. Even though the outside of garage was aluminum it had no garage door so they were actually drilling inside on the rafters. The placement outside stopped them before they went inside to drill. This trap is 2 years old and still working like new.
They should last for many years. My personal traps have been used for 6 seasons and are still working well.
These traps are warranted against defects in workmanship for a period of two years. Each situation where these traps are used is varied. Following the installation procedure usually results in the trap’s highest efficiency but if for any reason they are not catching bees after several days you may have to change the location so the bees will discover it before they start drilling their nest.
For traps to be the most efficient the old holes should be plugged so that they will not be used again. This is most easily accomplished using our hole plugging kit. It contains everything needed to quickly eliminate these existing holes.
